| Sänfte: low floor Tram 2000 filed on: 03.01.2006 (3rd Jan 2006) A VBZ press release dated 30 November 2005 celebrates the entry into service of the 23rd and last Sänfte on that day. The release states that the first (series) rebuild entered service on 6th May 2004 and that these accesibilty-compliant trams are expected to last in service until at least 2032. The Sänftes are deployed on routes 6 and 10 and also work route 5 at weekends.The platform at Zoo terminus has recently been raised to facilitate boarding at the low floor and front sections.
