| Changes planned in Oerlikon filed on: 18.02.2005 (18th Feb 2005) In 2006, SBB will replace the railway bridges crossing Schaffhauserstrasse at Bhf. Oerlikon (these cross the tracks of tram 14). Zürich would like to use this opportunity to widen the underpass from 17 metres to 40 to be able to create a tram/bus/railway interchange. The tram/bus stop will be relocated to under the bridges and direct connections to the railway platforms provided. The second phase of Stadtbahn Glattal (the airport route) will also use this tram stop. SBB will pay what it would have cost to replace the existing structure by a similar one (6.26 MCHF), with the additional charge for the longer bridge (5.32 MCHF) being payed by the city. Initially, only the bridge will be built, the full interchange waiting until the more distant future. source: Die Vorstadt
